Liverpool fans are desperate for Gini Wijnaldum to sign a new deal

A number of Liverpool fans are desperate for Gini Wijnaldum to extend his stay at Anfield, following his excellent recent form.

The 30-year-old is now in his fifth season as a Reds player, having joined from Newcastle United back in 2016.

Wijnaldum has won the Champions League and Premier League in that time, proving to be a key figure during Jurgen Klopp’s reign as manager.

While Liverpool have been hampered with injuries, the Dutchman has almost been an ever-present, playing superbly at the same time.

Sadly, it looks as increasingly as though this could be Wijnaldum’s last season at Anfield, however, with no sign of him signing a new contract.

His current deal expires at the end of this season, with a move to Barcelona mooted in the past.

On Thursday, Wijnaldum posted on Twitter, asking supporters to reveal their favourite goal celebrations.

Instead, these Liverpool supporters continue to show their love for the Reds “king”, urging him to stay at the club.
