Liverpool target Dominik Szoboszlai’s release clause details revealed

Reported Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai’s release clause details have emerged, with The Athletic‘s David Ornstein providing an update on the situation.

The 20-year-old is considered by many to be one of the most exciting young players in the world, excelling for RB Salzburg.

The silky attacking midfielder has been linked with Liverpool in the past, with a fresh challenge expected to come his way in the near future.

Ornstein claims that Szoboszlai’s €25million release may be ‘enticingly low’, but there is the more to the situation than meets the eye.

That amount will have to paid in one lump sum, with a ’20 per cent sell-on mechanism’ also included, going towards the fee of a future sale, as well as any profit made.

On top of that, Szoboszlai must tell Salzburg he wants to leave by December 15th and bids will need to be made by December 31st, should he wish to exit in the January transfer window.

It all sounds slightly complex, but the bottom line is that Szoboszlai is potentially available if Liverpool really want him.

I think the Reds should do all they can to sign the prodigious Hungarian, given the quality and potential he possesses. Despite his tender years, he already has 25 goals and 33 assists for Salzburg, in just 79 appearances.

That outlines the end product he has, and he could only grow as a player working under Jurgen Klopp and performing next to world-class footballers.
