Jamie Carragher had a hilarious dig at former Gary Neville during Manchester United’s defeat to RB Leipzig on Tuesday, as their good-natured rivalry continues.
The duo used to seemingly loathe each other on the pitch, as Liverpool and United locked horns during the 1990s and 2000s.
Carragher and Neville now shine together as Sky Sports pundits, however, often trading friendly blows, with their dislike for each other’s sides fairly clear.
On Tuesday, United crashed out of the Champions League after a 3-2 defeat away to Leipzig, trailing 3-0 at one point.
Carragher couldn’t miss out on the chance to mock Neville, posting a photo of himself with the scoreline in the background and saying, “they’ve not backed the manager”, hinting that his colleague always defends former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer:

The post nearly came back to haunt the Liverpool legend, as United almost went through in stoppage time, but thankfully that didn’t happen.

There was a time when United constantly had the bragging rights over Liverpool, winning trophies and enjoying the misery of their rivals.
The tables have turned, however, with the Reds now the best team in the land and United looking mediocre.
It must be a nightmare for Neville, who clearly dislikes Liverpool and loves United in equal measure, as all his hard work during his playing days comes undone. He will be seething.
Carragher will keep reminding him, too!
