Liverpool considering move for £34.5m Serie A striker dubbed ‘the new Ibrahimović’

Liverpool are likely to be on the lookout for a new striker this summer to further strengthen their attacking options.

Belgium forward Divock Origi is likely to leave the club along with Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic this summer.

Recent reports have suggested that the club are set to announce the signing of RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka.

However, it seems as though the club are still being linked to other attacking talent this summer.

According to Empire of the Kop, Liverpool are considering a move for Fiorentina striker Dušan Vlahović.

The Serbian starlet scored 21 goals in the Serie A from just 37 games in a lacklustre season for the Viola.

Vlahović has impressed the footballing world, and has even dubbed himself as the ‘Serbian Zlatan Ibrahimović‘.

Liverpool could do with a striker producing these kind of numbers and the Serbian could come at a good price.

With a current market value of £22.5million according to Transfermarkt, a price could be negotiated.

According to Football FanCast, Fiorentina has priced the Serbian at £34.5m for this summer.

If Liverpool were to make a move for the youngster then this price could easily be met given their ambition to sell some players.

Only time will tell if the club’s interest is concrete in him, but one thing for sure is that Vlahović is a talented player.

matchday.
