Liverpool now leading the race to sign £27 Brazilian winger this summer

The Reds are already making their way in the summer transfer window.

Reports had suggested that Liverpool were interested in bringing Leeds United winger Raphinha to Anfield.

Now, it seems as though the Reds are leading to race for the £27million rated attacker, according to the Mirror.

The news, as cited by The Anfield Buzz on Twitter, is more than interesting given the clubs need to strengthen the squad…

Raphinha has been subject to a Liverpool move for some time with plenty of sources reporting on it.

The Brazilian has a fantastic debut season in the Premier League with 15 goals and assists.

Liverpool are in need of providing competition for their forward line, hence the signing of Diogo Jota last summer.

The Portuguese forward hit the ground running and the hope is that any new signings up top will do the same.

Mohamed Salah has had very little competition at right-wing during his time at Liverpool.

Raphinha could easily provide allow Salah some well needed rest at times, as well as compete for his spot.

The Brazilian is of interest to plenty of clubs this summer, but as the Mirror state, Liverpool are leading the way.

If the Reds can get a good deal with Leeds then we could be on for a great addition.

However, with finances limited, the club will need to be careful this summer with their market activity.

matchday.
