Virals: Liverpool amongst ‘interested parties’ to sign Karim Adeyemi

Liverpool have once again been named amongst the ‘interested parties’ pursuing the signature of Red Bull Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi

The Reds are believed to be strong admirers of the 19-year-old German but face serious competition from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich in particular.

Following a recent report from Salzburger Nachrichten claiming that the Anfield club ‘should make advances’ heading into the January window, a fresh report from ORF has named Liverpool as a leading suitor.

The report states that Salzburg expects ‘to bring tens of millions’ for their youngster who has risen to prominence in the last 18 months.

Already capped on three occasions at senior level by Germany, Adeyemi has been in sensational form this season – scoring 11 goals in just 16 appearances.

Signing one of the hottest properties in European football ahead of two German superpowers would be a huge coup for the Reds.

Described as a ‘direct, intense and explosive attacker’ by Football Talent Scout, the German teenager possess an abundance of attributes that would make him the ideal forward for Jurgen Klopp’s system.

Valued at £18million and under contract until 2024 in Austria (Transfermarkt), paying the mooted €30-40million (£25-33million) figure for the exciting ace is a no-brainer.

Kopites wanting to get a closer look at Adeyemi can watch Red Bull Salzburg take on Wolfsburg on Wednesday evening.

matchday.
