Virals: Barcelona starlet Gavi ‘seduced’ by Liverpool opportunity

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a sensational move for Barcelona wonderkid Gavi in recent weeks and could’ve been handed a boost in their pursuit.

The Reds are believed to be keen on bringing the 17-year-old to Anfield following a superb breakout year for both club and country.

Gavi – a product of the famous La Masia academy following an early switch from Real Betis – has become a regular feature in Xavi’s side this season.

According to the latest report from Catalan outlet El Nacional, as cited by GilaBola.com on Twitter, the Spaniard is considering making the switch.

Translated, the Twitter account claims that this is ‘Goodbye, Barcelona’ as the four-times capped teen ‘intends’ to move to Merseyside.

The report follows a similar path and claims that Gavi is ‘seduced’ by the prospect and playing under Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League is a ‘very attractive’ option.

So far this season, the starlet once described as ‘terrific’ player by Luis Enrique, has provided two assists in 21 appearances for Barca.

Valued at £22.5million and under contract at the Camp Nou until 2023 (Transfermarkt), the prospect of signing the midfielder is relatively high right now.

Holding a reported €50million (£42.4million) release clause, Liverpool shouldn’t be put off by the financial aspect of the deal.

Albeit a relatively large sum for a player so young, Gavi has the potential to be at the very top of the game for over a decade.
