Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge thinks that Christian Pulisic can be the club’s Philippe Coutinho replacement and has tipped the Reds to make a move for the American forward.
In his column for the Liverpool Echo, the former Republic of Ireland striker said that he was impressed with Pulisic when he saw him play against Jurgen Klopp’s men during the pre-season tour of America and that he looks like a perfect fit for Liverpool.
Borussia Dortmund have publically stated that they will not be selling the 20-year-old in January, but he will likely move on from the German side in the summer as he will be about to enter the final year of his contract.
Liverpool and Klopp have been long-time admirers of Pulisic, they made a bid for him a few years ago, and if he does hit the market, it seems certain that the Reds will be at the front of the queue to sign him.
