Winger Ousmane Dembele is a major doubt for Barcelona ahead of their trip to Anfield on Tuesday night, after he sustained a hamstring injury on Saturday, the Liverpool Echo report.
Liverpool host the La Liga champions looking to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final last week, and Jurgen Klopp’s side have been handed a slight boost after Dembele limped off during Barca’s defeat to Celta Vigo on Saturday.
The winger was taken off just five minutes into the 2-0 loss to Celta, as Ernesto Valverde named a heavily rotated side ahead of Tuesday’s second-leg with the La Liga title already secured.
Dembele missed a golden chance to put Barca 4-0 up in the closing stages at the Camp Nou after coming on as a substitute, and the winger was expected to feature from the bench once again at Anfield and use his pace in the latter stages of the game.
