Hilarious tweet highlights how Liverpool silenced Barcelona midfielder on social media

Yesterday marked a very special anniversary in the Liverpool calendar.

The day marked two years since the Reds managed to beat the odds and come back 4-3 on aggregate against Barcelona.

One of the clubs greatest Champions League comebacks, the win took the club to the final of the competition.

Jurgen Klopp and his men managed to win the clubs sixth European title just under a month later.

The Reds took Barcelona by surprise in that game, with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner the key memory.

However, a recent Twitter memory has just been brought to light, with Liverpool doing some real damage.

B/R Football quote tweeted Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets’ tweet from the day before the game.

The Spaniard tweeted a few photos of himself in training with the caption “We’re ready”…

Well, since that tweet just over two years ago, Busquets has been radio silent on Twitter.

Yes, you did read that right, since Liverpool’s 4-0 win, Busquets hasn’t tweeted a thing.

The Reds’ impact during the game stunned the midfielder into silence – which was evident on the night.

Most fans were so impressed by Liverpool’s performance that night, and not just Kopites.

Jurgen Klopp’s team were on top form and impressed massively given the fact they were also missing Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Not only that, but an injury to Andy Robertson saw him come off at half-time for eventual goalscorer Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman, alongside Divock Origi, scored a brace on the night with the unlikely duo becoming the heroes of the game.

That night will go down in Liverpool history for all the right reasons.

Legends were born during that win, and will never be forgotten.
