Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed following Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United that striker Roberto Firmino is unlikely to feature against Watford on Wednesday evening.
As reported by BBC broadcast journalist Emma Sanders on Twitter, the manager said that the forward will “probably” miss out.

Firmino was one of four first-half substitutes in Sunday’s stalemate at Old Trafford, as Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard, who came on to replace Mata, were all forced off with injuries.

Daniel Sturridge replaced the Brazilian but was unable to create anything to test David de Gea in the United goal, as Liverpool moved one point clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
Klopp described Firmino’s departure from the game as a “catastrophe”, as stated by freelance injury data analyst Ben Dinnery on Twitter, and claimed it disrupted their rhythm at Old Trafford.

The likes of Sturridge or Divock Origi could be called upon to fill the void left by Firmino. Mohamed Salah, however, has operated up front in several matches this season.
