‘Guaranteed’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms €50m Liverpool target now set for medical

Liverpool remain in the market for attacking reinforcements under Andoni Iraola.

Mohamed Salah’s departure and Hugo Ekitike’s injury have left them a bit short in the final third, although Victor Munoz’s arrival will ease the burden a little bit.

The Reds remain locked in talks to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG, with the Ligue 1 giants driving a hard bargain to part with the former, in particular.

One player who will not be joining Liverpool is Ferran Torres, as he now looks set for a move to PSG.

Liverpool target Ferran Torres to have PSG medical

We reported on Read Liverpool that Torres was a target for the Reds, with the Spaniard’s stock skyrocketing after his winning goal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

However, despite interest from Liverpool, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid, among others, the Barcelona forward now looks set for a move to PSG.

Fabrizio Romano wrote on X: “Ferran Torres has already received authorization to travel for a medical at PSG.

“The transfer fee will be €50m guaranteed, as @ffpolo reported. Ferran said yes to Paris last week, as per @MatteMoretto.

“No training yesterday, today, tomorrow as clubs exchange documents in the next 24h.”

Liverpool won’t lose too much sleep with this one as it always looked like he was destined for Paris. However, a silver lining is that the Parisians would now consider selling at least one of Barcola or Mbaye, which could be good news for the Reds.
