Liverpool aim to sell £50m-rated trio to fuel transfer market activity says James Pearce

This summer could potentially see a real overhaul within the current Liverpool squad.

With the season just finishing and Liverpool failing to retain their Premier League trophy, reinforcements are needed.

As always, players are linked with a move and the first deal of the summer has already been completed.

The Reds announced yesterday the new signing of French defender Ibrahima Konaté from RB Leipzig

However, further signings in the summer will depend on the sale of other players.

According to The Athletic’s James Pearce, the Reds will need to sell a number of players if they wish to make any more signings.

Pearce reports that the club value Divock Origi, Harry Wilson, and Marko Grujic at a combined £50million…

Further arrivals for the club will depend on the sales of players such as these three.

It may be slightly ambitious of the club to value the trio at this combined value, but all will be needed this summer.

Hopefully, the club can make the right sales and bring in the right type of replacements to further the depth of the squad.

If the club want to keep themselves in the title race each season, then quality beyond the starting XI is a must.

We all know the club has some incredible players on the books such as Mo Salah, Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mané, and many more.

Sadly for the Reds, the players from the bench haven’t managed to step up to the same standard, hence their proposed sales.

matchday.
