Joe Hardy signs new contract with Liverpool

Joe Hardy signs new contract with Liverpool

Joe Hardy only arrvied at Liverpool from Brentford in January but, as announced on the club’s official website, he’s already signed a new contract.

The 21-year-old was in good form for the Liverpool U23s before the season was cut short, and that form was rewarded when he made his first-team debut as part of the young Reds’ side that knocked Shrewsbury Town out of the FA Cup.

Hardy came off the bench in the game as a youthful Liverpool side won the replay 1-0 and he could get more first-team opportunites in the future now that he’s committed his future to the club.

Liverpool must have some confidence in Hardy’s ability to sign him and give him a contract at the age of 21.

With a fierce array of attacking options ahead of him at the club, it could be tough for the Wirral-born star to see much in terms of game time, but clearly he’s well thought of and the Reds’ coaches must think he has a chance of making an impact down the line.
