Jurgen Klopp named as the world’s fifth best manager

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been named as the fifth best manager in world football by FourFourTwo.

The Reds boss is listed behind Pep Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone and Max Allegri but ahead of the likes of Didier Deschamps, Mauricio Pochettino and Maurizio Sarri.

Despite having not yet won a trophy at Liverpool, Klopp’s stock has risen since he took over the club and the Reds’ run to the Champions League final is cited as a major reason as to why he ranks so highly.

FourFourTwo say that Klopp has turned Liverpool into a force to be feared and that “Liverpool now exist in the image of their manager: a thrilling, attack-minded collection of players who believe in both entertainment and the positive influence that football can have on a city.”

Klopp will be keen to finally win a trophy with the Reds this season as his side have lost three finals since he took over.
