Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Dejan Lovren sustained a hamstring injury during last night’s FA Cup defeat against Wolves.
Lovren limped off just six minutes into the tie and was replaced by Ki-Jana Hoever, who became Liverpool’s third youngest debutant with an impressive showing from the bench.
Now, Klopp has revealed that Lovren faces a spell on the sidelines as he overcomes his latest setback, but was unable to say when he thought the Croatian defender would return.

With Virgil van Dijk missing yesterday’s clash through injury as well, Klopp may have to turn to his fringe players for Liverpool’s upcoming game against Brighton, before assessing his options in the build-up to a home game against Crystal Palace.
The injury comes at an untimely period for Liverpool, as they look to bounce back from their first Premier League defeat of the season at Manchester City, and get back to winning ways to ensure they remain at the top of the league.
