Leon Bailey says Chelsea and Liverpool have ‘concrete interest’ in signing him

According to a report by Kicker, as cited on Goal, when asked about the reports linking him with Chelsea, Liverpool and Roma, Bailey confirmed there is ‘concrete interest’.

He said:

There’s concrete interest. What I can say is that my full focus is on developing myself as a young player, and that’s what I’ll focus on. If a club wants me, my management and Bayer 04 will take care of it.

Chelsea have been considering a move for the Jamaican-born winger should Willian leave the club before the transfer window closes, and it seems like Liverpool are also interested in him too.

Bailey has been one of the Bundesliga’s standout performers in recent seasons after impressing with Bayer Leverkusen.

He is a player that has seemingly been on Liverpool’s radar for some time, while the likes of Christian Pulisic and Nabil Fekier have also been linked with moves to Anfield throughout the offseason.

It is yet to be seen if the Reds will move for the player this summer as it has been widely reported that Liverpool have no plans to sign anyone before the transfer window closes on Thursday afternoon.
