  • PSG star added to Mohamed Salah replacement shortlist
  • Liverpool were previously interested in the winger
  • Yan Diomande still leads the pack

Mohamed Salah has entered the final month of his Liverpool career after announcing that he will be leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 33-year-old will have one more month officially left on his contract, but the Reds do not have matches after May 24, when they face Brentford on the final day of the Premier League season. The winger will be off on international duty soon after, with the FIFA World Cup being just a month away.

Meanwhile, the Anfield side are working behind the scenes to find the ideal replacement for Salah. They have shortlisted a few wingers, and now a second PSG Star has been added to the radar.

Liverpool eye PSG’s Bradley Barceola

According to a report in The Times, Bradley Barcola is the latest player to be added to the wish-list by Arne Slot. Liverpool are pushing see if a move for the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star is possible this summer, as they see him as the ideal replacement for Salah.

The Frenchman has been in fine form this season, scoring 12 goals and assisting seven times in his 43 matches across all competitions. However, he is not a regular in the starting XI and the Anfield side are hoping to use it to lure him away.

Fans and pundits across the world highly regard the 23-year-old and would be of a similar age to when the Reds signed Mohamed Salah in 2017. They were keen on signing him last summer as well, but focused on Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike.

The hunt for Mohamed Salah’s replacement

Barcola is the second PSG star to be linked with a move to Anfield this summer. Ibrahim Mbaye is reported to be a part of summer plans for Liverpool this summer, as they continue to monitor wingers.

RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande remains a key target, but his €100 million asking price could be a stumbling block. Newcastle. United’s Anthony Gordon has also been linked with the Reds, but recent reports suggest Bayern Munich and Chelsea are ahead in the race.

Michael Olise is touted to be the club’s main target for the summer, but Bayern Munich are not interested in selling him. They have ruled out accepting €200 million bids, stating that the player is invaluable to the squad at the Allianz Arena.
