Liverpool have completed the signing of teenager Marcelo Pitaluga, with the 17-year-old joining from Fluminense.
Pitaluga was part of the Brazil squad that won the U17 World Cup last year, with some tipping him to be Alisson’s long-term replacement at Anfield.
The teenager is training at Melwood while various first team players are off on international duty, as he adjusts to his new surroundings.
Pitaluga worked alongside Alisson’s brother, Muriel, during his time at Fluminense.

I think it is vital that Klopp plans ahead, not allowing Liverpool to sit still and fail to build on their current dominance.
The likes of Virgil van Dijk, Gini Wijnaldum, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all nearing 30 years of age, so sadly they won’t be around forever. Alisson, Andy Robertson and Fabinho are also in, or approaching, their late 20s.
Having ready-made replacements in place is essential, with Diogo Jota and Takumi Minamino good current examples of that, given their age and potential.
Pitaluga couldn’t ask for a better player to study alongside than Alisson, who has earned a reputation as one of the world’s top goalkeepers over the last few years.
Learning from him on the training ground should prove to be invaluable experience, as he looks to mature into an equally formidable stopper one day.
