Former PGMOL chief has called for Mohamed Salah to be handed a one-match ban, while Liverpool are now accelerating their move to sign the winger’s replacement this summer.

The Reds are also pushing to sign another right-back, as Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley have been injured more often than not. Virgil van Dijk has also commented on the injury of a Reds legend as they gear up for the final games of the season.

1 – Keith Hackett wants Mohamed Salah banned

Salah went down in the Crystal Palace box during the 3-1 win last week, and the referee awarded the Reds a penalty. The decision was quickly overturned by VAR, and now Keith Hackett was the Egyptian banned.

The former PGMOL chief believes officials need to stamp out simulation and said the 33-year-old tricked the referee into awarding a foul. He wants a one-match ban for the Reds legend, who is set to leave this summer.

2 – Liverpool going big for a winger?

Liverpool spent big last summer to bolster their attack, but with Salah leaving and the club still searching for a Luis Diaz replacement, the upcoming window is also set to be focused on the frontline. Several players, including Yan Diomande, have been linked with the Reds, but a new name has now popped up.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Rafael Leao has emerged as an option this summer. AC Milan have reduced the asking price for the Portuguese winger and are looking for around £60 million.

3 – Van Dijk hopes to see Salah back in Liverpool colours

Salah went off injured in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace and reports suggest that the winger has suffered a hamstring injury. The 33-year-old is expected to be out for 4 weeks, making last weekend’s match at Anfield a possible final for the Egyptian at Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk has now commented on the injury issue, admitting that he hopes to see the winger back in action soon. He is hoping that the scans have come out in his favour and the injury is not serious.

4 – Jason McAteer picks surprise Salah replacement

Mohamed Salah replacement as been a talking point among the fans for over a month as the winger has announced his exit from Liverpool. Many believe that a big-name replacement is needed, while some have suggested that the money should be spread on 2-3 players instead of one player.

Former Reds star Jason McAteer has named Alexander Isak as the player who should take the responsibility at the club and become the next superstar at Anfield. He believes that the Premier League record signing should fill the void left by the Egyptian.

5 – Another right-back signing at Liverpool?

Liverpool signed Jeremie Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold last summer, but the Dutchman has not been able to keep himself fit throughout the season. Conor Bradley has suffered a long-term injury, and he has been out for a long time.

According to a report by Paul Joyce in The Times, Denzel Dumfries is on the Reds’ radar this summer. The Dutchman has a £21.7 million release clause, and that has made him an attractive option for the summer.
