Liverpool line up double swoop for Avil Tagir and Burak Ince

Liverpool are in talks with Altinordu about the possible transfers of Avil Tagir and Burak Ince, according to a report from Turkish outlet Yeni Asir.

The Reds are apparently interested in signing the teenage duo and they will reportedly offer €7.5m to the Turkish side for the pair.

The deals to take the youngsters to Anfield will also, according to Yeni Asir, include 30% sell-on fees, so Altinordu will get the benefit of any future sales of either player.

17-year-old Tagir is a left-sided central defender whilst 16-year-old Ince plays predominantly as an attacking midfielder.

The report states that Liverpool will agree deals to sign both players but that they’ll allow the pair to remain on loan with Altinordu until they turn 18-years-old.

Given the recent news that Liverpool might not be spending huge fees this summer in wake of the global health crisis, it could well be that the Reds decide to spend some money on youngsters who can improve the first-team in the future.

Whilst it’s always important to sign high-quality youngsters, spending money on players who won’t improve the first-team immediately could go some way to upsetting those fans of the club who have shown anger at the fact that Liverpool have tightened the purse strings, thus resulting on them missing out on signing Timo Werner.
