Liverpool set for major reshuffle? Arne Slot’s agent hints at Anfield transformation

Arne Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has been opening up about what the future holds for the under-fire Dutchman in the Liverpool hot seat in a recent interview.

Slot’s future in the Reds dug-out has come under scrutiny again, off the back of the Merseysiders stumbling to a 3-2 loss at the hands of bitter North West rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool did display some grit and determination to get back into the whirlwind contest, having given up two goals inside the first 14 minutes.

But, despite showing some fight, they still collapsed to a 3-2 loss on the 77th minute, when Kobbie Mainoo smashed home an emphatic winner for Michael Carrick’s overjoyed hosts.

With 11 defeats now next to Liverpool’s name in the Premier League for the 2025/26 season, Slot has hardly followed up his top-flight title win during his debut season at the helm, with a convincing second campaign, as question marks continue to be in the air over his long-term future at Anfield.

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol, in particular, was unfiltered with his thoughts on Slot at the full-time whistle of the Old Trafford defeat, when speaking on ESPN, with the forthright Scotsman stating that the under-pressure head coach’s players looked “absolutely lost” at points, on their travels to Manchester.

A huge summer looks to be in store for the bruised Premier League champions; therefore, with Slot not looking secure whatsoever in his dug-out, despite previous claims from the Fenway Sports Group that he is their desired head coach, moving forward.

Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has opened up on what the summer might have in store, with the Brazilian commenting on her client’s future on Merseyside when speaking to ESPN Netherlands.

Pimenta’s comments on a major reshuffle at Liverpool

While Pimenta did state that significant changes were on the horizon during this interview, Slot’s South American agent also opened up on her client’s “incredible” move to Liverpool in 2024, as a personal career highlight.

She said: It was truly incredible.

“Imagine: I grew up in Brazil, where I followed Liverpool from a distance, during that season when you thought: wow, look at Liverpool!

“And suddenly you are sitting there negotiating the manager’s contract. I think it was one of the most impactful moments in my career, yes.”

This would’ve been a surreal moment at the time, but in the here and now, Pimenta will be all too aware that the Reds head coach is under severe pressure to turn around Liverpool’s fortunes.

Slot has even been tipped to return to his native Netherlands with Ajax, as he enters into the final year of his current Anfield deal.

The Dutchman’s agent would remain tight-lipped on the prospect of her client moving back to the comforts of the Eredivisie, with “definitely many changes” expected at Anfield this summer, according to Pimenta, after a bitterly disappointing second season at the helm for Slot.

It remains to be seen what these changes are, with Liverpool perhaps splashing the cash again, after forking out a whopping £446m on new recruits just last summer, to varying degrees of success.

For the time being, it doesn’t read as if this Anfield transformation will involve the 47-year-old being relieved of his duties, but he will know he needs to clinch Champions League football before the season is out to ensure he remains in the FSG good books.

Only three games now remain of the current Premier League season, with Slot ready to see the back of such a disorientating campaign, as he prepares for a rebuild in the summer.
