‘Lots to improve’ – Jamie Carragher makes sobering Liverpool admission

Andoni Iraola

Liverpool are on a run of four successive wins under Andoni Iraola and are showing signs of clicking into gear.

Their 3-0 defeat vs Manchester City was definitely a blip, but the less we say about the Cityzens, the better after recent developments.

The Reds are playing an attractive brand of football and the Anfield crowd seem to be loving what they’re seeing of Iraola so far.

However, Jamie Carragher says Liverpool still haven’t had a game where they dominated their opposition and won quite convincingly.

Jamie Carragher makes controversial Liverpool claim

“The thing I like right now is the fact that they [Liverpool] are getting results; things are going well,” said Carragher via The Overlap.

“But I still think there’s a lot of improvement, because when I watch the games, I still don’t think Liverpool have had one 90 minutes where you go, ‘Everything was like, proper that.

“Three or four nil win, got the goals, looked solid at the back, kept the ball.’ Every game is still something like, ‘Oh, we’ll want to fix that.’”

“I do still think we’re doing well; we’re winning games, but I still think there’s lots to improve as well.”

If you look back on Liverpool’s recent wins, each of them has been pretty convincing, so we’re not really sure we agree with Carra’s comments.
