Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah missed Wednesday’s training session at Melwood, just a few days before The Reds are set to face Everton at Goodison Park in their first game back after the Premier League restart.
After Manchester City’s win over Arsenal at the Etihad, Liverpool can no longer win the Premier League with a victory over the Blues on Sunday night, but they can take one step towards winning the title by defeating their local rivals.
Salah missed the friendly against Blackburn Rovers at the end of last week and he’s now missed another outdoor session with his teammates, which should certainly raise more than a few eyebrows amongst Liverpool fans.
As of yet, there has been no official word about Salah’s condition from The Reds but as he missed the Blackburn game and Wednesday’s session, it looks clear that there is certainly an issue relating to his fitness.
If the Egyptian isn’t fit to play the game, Jurgen Klopp could be tempted to start Divock Origi as part of his front three as the Belgian’s record against Everton is very good.
He scored twice in the Reds’ 5-2 win at Anfield earlier in the season and in total, he’s scored five times in seven appearances against the Toffees.
