Last season saw some incredible moments provided by the Liverpool squad in the Premier League.

The Reds had gone into the campaign as reigning champions and were attempting to retain their title.

Sadly for the club and the fans, the season took a different turn almost instantly.

Injuries to key players such as Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip left the club with no senior centre-backs.

Not only that, but injuries and absences throughout the season for a large majority of the clubs stars followed.

However, the Reds still managed to secure Champions League football with a dramatic finish to the campaign.

One of those standout moments was goalkeeper Alisson’s winning header against West Brom, which teammate Nat Phillips recently reminisced on…

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, as cited by Anfield Watch on Twitter, Phillips couldn’t praise Alisson enough.

The centre-back described it as the perfect strikers header and it is hard to disagree.

Many Liverpool fans will remember the moment fondly, as it is the goal that ultimately helped the club secure top four.

Phillips does joke about missing the header during the game, as him and Alisson both went for the ball.

His feelings are no doubt reciprocated by the Reds faithful, as it could have been a whole different outcome.

Luckily for us all, Alisson produced one of the moments of the season and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
