Pundit makes ‘frightening’ Liverpool attacking admission

Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor has made a ‘frightening’ admission regarding the Liverpool attacking prowess.

The Reds were at their rampant best in midweek as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane each bagged a brace in a 6-0 victory over Leeds United.

Jurgen Klopp will be without one key attacker for the Carabao Cup final as Roberto Firmino is forced to miss out at Wembley.

However, speaking to Football Insider, Agbonlahor has suggested that Liverpool now have more than enough firepower to cope.

They’ve got the numbers to be able to cope. Mane, Salah and Diaz is a scary front three. That’s just frightening. Chelsea will not have much experience of playing against Diaz so that’s going to be a bit of a new one. I think Liverpool will win that final, I really do. It’s a good test for a Champions League final, that could easily be the Champions League final this season. It’s going to be a fascinating game and I can’t wait to watch it.

Portuguese forward Diogo Jota could be available to Klopp but is likely to start on the bench having missed the previous two matches.

So far this season those known to be ready for the clash have contributed a staggering 70 goals in 131 combined appearances.

Spot on.

Having seemingly been bereft of options midway through January with Salah and Mane at AFCON and Divock Origi sidelined, all of sudden Klopp is spoilt for choice in the attacking department.

Whilst the absence of Firmino will be a blow, those available are firing on all cylinders and Chelsea will be all too aware of the upcoming challenge.
