Despite Liverpool’s defeat to Arsenal, it goes without saying that they are showing signs of progress under Andoni Iraola.
The Reds prepare to face Fenerbahce later today and will aim to continue their perfect record in the UEFA Champions League this season with another win.
Their attack, in particular, has fired on all cylinders in Europe, with new signing Bradley Barcola even scoring a European hat-trick against LASK last month.
And now, ahead of their trip to Turkey, Romelu Lukaku has singled out three Liverpool players for special praise.
Romelu Lukaku lauds Liverpool trio
“I like Rio [Ngumoha]; I like him a lot, very direct. I saw the game that he played against Arsenal,” said Lukaku via TNT Sports.
“Isak obviously, we know. Then adding Barcola to the team, he has a different pace, something I’ve rarely seen before.”
Lukaku knows Liverpool well, having faced them a bunch of times over the course of his career so far.
The Belgian striker also knows a thing or two about attackers and scoring goals, so the Reds will need to be wary of his threat later in the day.
As for Liverpool, their attackers have been in fine form this season and will aim to secure another win in Europe that will take them a step closer to automatic qualification to the Round of 16.
