Three Liverpool players sit out of training game with knocks

Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Adrian all sat out of Liverpool’s training game at Anfield on Sunday with knocks as the Reds continued their preparations ahead of the Premier League restart, as per a report from the very reliable Kop HQ.

For the second time since they were allowed back into Melwood to train, the Reds had an intra-squad match at an empty Anfield but Adrian, Robertson and Salah, all of whom started Liverpool’s last competitive game, where they were knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid, sat out.

Liverpool have two weeks before their first game of the restarted season against Everton and there’s no reason to believe that either of the three players have an injury that’s serious enough to make them miss that match, but they have all missed out on a valuable session, which is far from ideal ahead as they’ll need to be supremely fit ahead of what will be a busy end of of the campaign.

Regarding the outcome of the match, the training game ended 1-0 with Sadio Mane scoring the only goal of the game.
