Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian has spoken of his pride after extending his time at Anfield by signing a new contract.
The Spaniard was due to become a free agent in the coming weeks and there was uncertainty as to whether the stopper would stay on Merseyside.
However, the 34-year-old, signed as a free agent at the start of the Premier League title-winning 2019/20 campaign, has opted to remain a Red for a reported two more years.

The experienced Liverpool man has agreed on a fresh deal with the Anfield club – having made 24 appearances and lifted three major trophies during his career under Jurgen Klopp.
Despite falling bellow Caoimhin Kelleher in the pecking order, Adrian told the club’s official website he was ‘delighted’ to extend his time on Merseyside.

Formerly of West Ham, the Spanish ‘keeper only made six appearances across all competitions for the Reds in 2020/21.

Many Kopites will be hoping Adrian’s extension doesn’t lead to Kelleher leaving on loan.
The Irish stopper rightfully ousted the Spaniard last term and was impressive when called upon on numerous occasions.
With Alisson Becker’s unusually high record of absence for a goalkeeper, Liverpool need a reliable backup – something in recent times Adrian has failed to provide.
As the third choice, boasting a wealth of experience to pass onto both Kelleher and the group of other emerging prospects, the move makes plenty of sense
