Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has opened up on the anger he felt after Liverpool dumped the Catalan giants out of the Champions League at Anfield.
Having arrived on Merseyside intact with a 3-0 lead from the first leg at the Camp Nou, Pique and co might’ve been excused for thinking the job was all-but complete.
Further buoyed by the Reds lineup being without Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, Barcelona had one foot in 2018/19 Madrid showpiece later that season.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s side-mounted perhaps the most monumental comeback of the recent era, and Pique has told Spanish TV3 program Nexes (via Daily Mail and Footy Accumulators) that night was the worse defeat in his glittering career.

To make matters worse for the World Cup winner, Liverpool went on to lift their sixth European Cup, beating Premier League rivals Tottenham 2-0 in Madrid with goals from Salah and Divock Origi.
