Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed new signing Luis Diaz ‘needs time to adapt’ at Anfield.
The Reds are back in action this weekend following a short break and will face Cardiff City in the FA Cup fourth round.
Speaking ahead of the clash at the pre-match press conference, Klopp spoke about the possible impact of January signing Luis Diaz.
Klopp on Luis Diaz
"If Luis came, stepped on the pitch and immediately was at his best, that would be really strange. He needs time. I don't speak about 4-5 months, but he needs time. I haven't seen him here yet. We are excited about the signing."#LFC

The German boss went on to say he ‘can’t wait’ to work with the 25-year-old before describing the 33-cap Colombian as an ‘exceptional player’.
Prior to making the switch to Merseyside, Diaz scored 16 times and provided six assists for FC Porto this season.

Well, things are heating up nicely as we approach the crunch time in the campaign.
Much like Klopp, Liverpool fans all over are relishing the prospect of seeing the £36million valued Diaz in a Red shirt.
Throw a possible return of Harvey Elliott, Thiago and Divock Origi into the mix, a previously low key FA Cup clash now has an added tinge of excitement.
