John McGinn at Aston Villa
In recent weeks, a lot has been said about Florian Wirtz‘s Liverpool career so far. Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola’s latest comments on Wirtz will likely shut those people up once and for all. Wirtz has started both Premier League games under Iraola so far and wasn’t at his best against Newcastle. However, Florian is very good and I trust him a lot, said the Spaniard in his post-match press conference.
Career Before Aston Villa
Indeed, the midfielder has started to show some of his best on the ball in recent weeks. Therefore, if Wirtz finds his feet under the new manager, he can take Liverpool’s gameplay to another level. John McGinn provides a useful comparison for Premier League midfielders adapting to new tactical demands.
