Liverpool transfer news: Reds star appears on Real Madrid radar as big summer move is speculated

Real Madrid has now placed one Liverpool star on their summer transfer radar, according to new emerging transfer reports.

The summer transfer window is set to be an enthralling one from Liverpool‘s perspective, as more flashy spending looks to be on the cards.

After all, hunting down an appropriate replacement for the departing Mohamed Salah isn’t going to be cheap, with RB Leipzig superstar Yan Diomande just one name, among many, who is being speculated to be on the Reds’ shopping list to replace the spellbinding Egyptian.

The reigning Premier League champions will also have to brace themselves for some interest in their star performers in the summer, even if the 2025/26 season has been fraught with difficulties.

Indeed, speculation has been in the air previously that Alexis Mac Allister was being eyed up by Spanish giants Real Madrid, ahead of a possible switch in the off-season.

But, new reports seem to suggest an alternative Reds first-teamer is on their radar, instead, as the ace in question potentially swaps Anfield for the Santiago Bernabeu, after only one season on Merseyside.

The Liverpool star now on Madrid’s radar

As per an exclusive report from TEAMTalk, Hugo Ekitike has surged onto the radar of Alvaro Arbeloa’s side, off the back of an explosive debut season in England.

Sources have revealed to TEAMTalk that Ekitike has shot up their list of potential targets, with his impressive tally of 17 goals for the Reds, from only 42 appearances this campaign, catching the eye.

It is stated that a move isn’t in the works, as of yet, but Madrid will continue to monitor the situation of a striker they believe to be ‘one of the most promising forwards in world football.’

Ekitike would surely jump at the chance to prove himself on such a grand stage with Los Blancos, after failing to ever get going at Paris Saint-Germain earlier in his well-travelled career.

Only four paltry goals would come his way from 33 appearances in the French capital, but thankfully, the 23-year-old has since proven himself with Arne Slot’s men, and Frankfurt, with a stunning combined tally of 30 strikes in the Bundesliga and Premier League.

In the near future, he could well be ripping it up in La Liga, with Madrid also looking at the potential of a blockbuster move for Erling Haaland, as per the same report.

Of course, the eight-time France international, for the time being, will just be focused on continuing his sterling 25/26 form, which saw him bag on international duty versus Brazil.

Slot will need his star marksman to continue powering home the goals back at Anfield, too, with a failure to finish inside the Champions League positions at the close of the campaign, surely giving Ekitike ammunition to want to seek out a flashy move to Madrid.
