‘Keen’ – Fabrizio Romano makes huge Liverpool transfer claim

Liverpool made four new signings during the summer transfer window under Andoni Iraola.

However, before the transfer deadline, it is well documented that they tried to bring more players through the door.

When it looked like Cody Gakpo would join Manchester City, the Reds scrambled for attackers, making offers to sign Ismaila Sarr and Yankuba Minteh.

Gakpo eventually stayed, so they didn’t need another body in attack.

However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool tried to sign Endrick before the transfer deadline.

Liverpool failed with Endrick interest

Liverpool’s interest in Endrick is well documented, with the Brazilian international struggling for game time in the Spanish capital.

And Romano believes the Reds declared their interest but never made an offer as Real Madrid eventually decided he isn’t for sale.

“Liverpool were keen on Endrick in the summer but never presented an offer to Real Madrid,” said the Italian via his YouTube channel.

“They were even thinking of buying him at one point, but Real Madrid closed the door to both a loan and a permanent transfer.”

Being a left-footed winger who can also play up front, Endrick would have been an intriguing option for Liverpool.

And if his situation doesn’t improve this season, the Reds could make a move for him in the future.
