Jurgen Klopp makes €5000 donation to Sean Cox fund

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has personally made a €5000 donation to the fund set up to raise money for Reds supporter Sean Cox.

The GoFundMe page, which at the time of writing has raised over €49,000, has been set up to raise valuable funds that will continue the support that Cox requires after the life-changing injuries he sustained prior to the game against Roma in the Champions League.

A group of Roma fans heading to Anfield that night attacked a number of Liverpool supporters and Cox was left in a coma.

The incident has been a high profile one that has surrounded the club since the game, with Liverpool looking to do all they can to both find justice and support Cox on his road to recovery.

Klopp’s personal donation is a testament to the club’s willingness to help and the relationship that the Liverpool manager shares with the supporters at Anfield.
