Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson believe Virgil van Dijk is Jurgen Klopp’s favourite Liverpool player.
The Dutchman is currently sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury, acting as a huge blow to Klopp and the Reds this season.
If Alexander-Arnold and Robertson’s judgment is anything to go by, the Liverpool manager will be particularly upset by Van Dijk’s absence.
Speaking on the latest episode of Wingmen, in which the pair drive around the city and answer questions, both agreed that Van Dijk was Klopp’s number one pupil, followed by Alisson:

It is easy to see why Klopp thinks so fondly of Van Dijk, and Alisson for that matter, considering they have been the catalyst behind Liverpool clinching Champions League and Premier League glory in the last two seasons.
Not only are the pair world-class footballers, they also come across as great people – something the German demands in his players.
That being said, Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are also sure to be adored by their manager, as is every squad member, given the incredible team spirit that exists at Anfield currently.
It appears as though genuine friendships exist in the team, as the video of Alexander-Arnold and Robertson highlights.
