Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s most recent Instagram post suggests he is slowly nearing a return from injury.
The 27-year-old has not featured at all yet this season, having picked up a knee issue in August.
It means Oxlade-Chamberlain is nearing three months on the sidelines, but the finish line may be in sight.
On Sunday, the attacking midfielder posted a photo of him on the training pitch with the ball at his feet:

It suggests his comeback isn’t too far away, at a time when Jurgen Klopp badly needs as many fit players as possible.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has become a forgotten man, in many ways, given the length of his absence.
The former Arsenal man may not be one of the most important players at Liverpool, but he still a hugely effective player, when fit.
His ability the break the lines in a central midfield role gives the Reds an extra attacking dimension, as he showed during the second half of the 2017/18 season, and he can also be an option out wide.
Liverpool have a relentless run of fixtures coming up, with no seven-day break until Boxing Day, so Oxlade-Chamberlain back in the fold would be a massive positive.
