Some Liverpool fans have been bemoaning Jurgen Klopp’s injury update on Naby Keita, with the Guinean ruled out of Friday’s FA Cup third round meeting with Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old has had a hugely frustrating Reds career to date, showing glimpses of his class but finding himself injured far too often.
Every time Keita seems to string a run of promising games together, he then finds himself sidelined again.
Liverpool’s No.8 has been missing since the 7-0 win away to Crystal Palace with a muscle issue, and on Thursday, Klopp confirmed that he wouldn’t be available for the trip to Villa Park on Friday night.
The Reds boss did state that Keita would be back “soon”, however, indicating that he could play a part at home to Manchester United on January 17th, in a huge Premier League clash.
