A number of Liverpool fans have been lauding Alisson, following a match-saving performance against Man United on Sunday.

The Reds were frustrated by their rivals at Anfield, being held to a 0-0 draw and rarely looking like scoring.

It means the champions now haven’t scored in the Premier League since the 1-1 draw at home to West Brom on December 27th – a run of almost four matches.

Liverpool’s attacking play was non-existent for chunks of the game, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson failing to find their usual quality at full-back, and Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all struggling, too.

It was the Reds’ defensive stars who stood out most, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson excellent at centre-back.

Alisson was arguably the most important player on the pitch, however, as he made vital second half stops to deny Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.

It was a display that outlined the Brazilian’s status as the world’s best goalkeeper and these Liverpool fans hailed him on Twitter.

Is Alisson the best goalkeeper in the world?
