Liverpool eager to sign Jadon Sancho despite risk of selling one of their star forwards

The summer window is looking to be a huge few months for Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.

With players such as Georginio Wijnaldum set to leave, the club will need to invest in the transfer market.

Individuals such as Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul have both been linked as a replacement for Wijnaldum.

Although the Reds will likely look to strengthen in midfield and in defence, that doesn’t stop the rumours.

Liverpool often find themselves linked with some of the best attacking talent in Europe.

The latest link is no different, with journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft stating Liverpool’s keen interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho…

As cited by Anfield Watch on Twitter, Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign the England winger.

However, this would likely involve the Reds having to sell some of their big stars such as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané.

It would be a shame to see the likes of these two have to leave if Sancho is targeted.

Salah and Mané have been fantastic for the Reds over the last few seasons and have become so important.

Sancho is a great young player but it remains to be seen if losing the pair is worth his signing.

With a current market value of £90million according to Transfermarkt, it would take a big deal to secure Sancho’s signature.

matchday.
