Virals: Liverpool reportedly monitoring three Inter Milan stars

Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on three Inter Milan players ahead of potential moves during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite being crowned Serie A champions under now ex-manager Antonio Conte in 2020/21, the cash-strapped Italian giants could be forced to sell their biggest stars this summer in order to regenerate the squad.

The precarious financial situation has reportedly alerted the Reds who are monitoring Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini and Lautaro Martinez as a result.

This is according to a report from The Daily Express, as cited by SempreInter on Twitter.

The report claims Jurgen Klopp has the trio on his ‘radar’ as the German boss goes in search of his own squad additions.

Two of the aforementioned names are central midfielders – Gagliardini and Barella – whilst Martinez is an all-action forward who netted 19 goals and registered 11 assists in 49 appearances in 2020/21.

What a trio of signings these would be.

Realistically given Liverpool’s own financial constraints signing any of Martinez or Barella, in particular, would be a difficult task.

Valued at £72million and £58.5million respectively, even the issues faced at the San Siro won’t see either of the duo signed on the cheap.

Each of the reported potential targets would be hugely beneficial to the Liverpool squad, especially the 19 times capped Argentina ace, Martinez, as Klopp looks to bolster his attacking options.
