Liverpool are reportedly ‘preparing’ to make Mohamed Salah the top earner at the club with a new bumper contract.

The 29-year-old currently has 20 months remaining on a deal at Anfield and speculation has been mounting over the ongoing stalemate.

Now, according to a report from Football Insider, as cited by Liverpool FC News on Twitter, the club could be set to break the impasse with an £82million package including a £350,000-a-week salary.

The report claims that the 71-cap Egypt superstar ‘wants a deal’ until this summer 2026 when the winger will have been on Merseyside for nine years.

So far this season Salah has scored nine times in nine appearances across all competitions – earning a remarkable 7.71 average Sofascore rating from seven Premier League outings in the process.

This will be music to the ears of Kopites everywhere.

Salah is already proving age is merely just a number as the Egyptian King seemingly improves year on year.

Previously reluctant to hand out big deals to star’s approaching or past their thirties, Joran Henderson’s summer extension suggested FSG would have no issue offering Salah new terms.

Show-stopping form at the start of this term has perhaps forced the board’s hand yet further as everyone sees the importance of keeping the £90million valued winger at Anfield.

Is Mohamed Salah Already A Liverpool Legend?
