Virals: Liverpool believe Jude Bellingham deal is ‘achievable’

Liverpool reportedly believe that a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is ‘achievable’ in the future.

This follows heightened speculation linking the Reds with a move for the 18-year-old.

Already an established member of the Bundesliga side and the England national team, Bellingham looks set for a long and prosperous future at the very highest level.

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, as cited by Anfield Edition on Twitter, Liverpool could spread the cost to make a likely £90million plus asking price seem more palatable.

The report claims that a move for the ‘heavily linked’ 10-cap England ace could be a possibility due to having ‘no concerns over profit and sustainability’ moving forwards.

This season Bellingham has scored four times and provided 10 assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.

Holding a market value of £67.5million and under contract in Germany until 2025 (Transfermarkt), there would appear to be no alternative than paying the full fee for the talented teenager.

Whilst the club has been circumspect in its spending over recent years, big money has been spent on transformational players and it’s hard to argue Bellingham doesn’t fit into that category.

Possessing a wide range of important midfield attributes, the Englishman appears to be purpose-built to play a leading role in an elite side for the next decade at least.

With the likes of Thiago, James Milner and Jordan Henderson in need of increasingly managed game time, Jurgen Klopp should be pushing hard for the capture of Bellingham.

matchday.
