Virals: Liverpool star Sadio Mane ‘willing’ to make switch to La Liga giants

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane would reportedly be ‘willing’ to make the switch to either Barcelona or Real Madrid.

This comes after the 29-year-old fired Senegal to Africa Cup of Nations glory over Egypt and Reds’ teammate Mohamed Salah.

The flying winger is out of contract in 2023 and at present, there would appear to be no talk of an extension to a six-year spell at Anfield.

According to a report from Goal, as cited by Transfer News Live on Twitter, Mane would consider a switch to La Liga.

The report claims that both Spanish giants have been ‘sniffing around’ the 86-cap ace for some time and could fulfil a ‘dream’ move for the forward.

This season Mane has scored 10 times and provided one assist in 26 appearances across all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Whilst potentially selling the integral £72million valued star is nigh on unthinkable to a majority of Liverpool supporters, both the signing of Luis Diaz and the contract situation does raise the question.

In the main, the Anfield club have utilised a sell-to-buy mantra under the ownership of FSG and it seems implausible that the board would be willing to lose such a valuable asset for nothing in 2023.

With new contracts also required for Salah, Roberto Firmno, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, there are certainly big calls coming down the pipeline at Liverpool and whether or not to cash in on Mane could be amongst them.
