Arne Slot has made a huge decision regarding Alexander Isak ahead of the UEFA Champions League tie between Paris Saint Germain and Liverpool.

The Reds have boarded the flight to Paris ahead of the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie with Paris Saint Germain at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, 8 April.

Liverpool fans fear the worst, having witnessed their team suffer a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, 4 April.

The only hope is that Slot’s men somehow bring their A game to the clash in the French capital and cause an upset over the reigning European champions.

Liverpool held their final training session at the AXA Training Centre ahead of their trip to France on Tuesday afternoon, with no notable absentees spotted.

Isak was seen training comfortably with the rest of the first-team squad as he steps up his recovery, moving significantly closer to a competitive return following the devastating leg injury sustained during the 2-1 victory over Tottenham back in December

Calvin Ramsay was also interestingly spotted with other Reds players despite not being eligible to play in the Champions League.

Despite their woes, the players seemed to be in good spirits, with Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike having a good laugh at one point.

Although Alisson is still sidelined with an injury, Slot is taking three goalkeepers with him to France in the shape of Giorgi Mamardashvili, Freddie Woodman, and Kornel Misciur.

Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Milos Kerkez, Andy Robertson, and Jeremie Frimpong are the defenders on the flight.

In midfield, Slot has Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Trey Nyoni.

Apart from Isak, Salah, Ekitike, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha, and Federico Chiesa are the options in attack.
