Liverpool and Manchester United are believed to be among clubs looking to sign highly-rated Trabzonspor midfielder Yusuf Yazici next summer but it appears they face competition for his signature.
Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claim that Atletico Madrid are eager to sign the 20-year-old and the La Liga giants have submitted a €14m offer to Trabzonspor for the youngster.
Yazici had a real breakthrough season with the Super Lig side last year, scoring six goals and providing 10 assists in just 22 appearances, and he’s carried that form into this season.
Turkish outlet Fanatik say Liverpool and Manchester United are among several top European clubs looking at the Turkey international while reigning Ligue 1 champions Monaco are also said to be considering a bid.
Trabzonspor don’t want to sell in January but are willing to hold talks over Yazici’s future with a view to a big money sale next summer. The 20-year-old is contracted until 2022.
