Liverpool are supposedly trying to persuade De Ligt to move to Anfield, with the prospect of playing alongside his international teammate Virgil Van Dijk at the back.

Van Dijk is his international captain and centre-back partner for Ronald Koeman’s side and Liverpool are hoping to team them up again in the Premier League next season.
The 19-year-old has already made 115 senior appearances for Ajax and captained them, as well as scoring, in a Champions League semi-final against Tottenham earlier this week.
Barcelona and Liverpool are both interested in signing the Dutch international, with Jurgen Klopp hoping to strengthen his side this summer.
