Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has signed a new contract with the club.
The Reds confirmed, via the official website, that the 19-year-old had committed his future to club.
The teenager has been training with the first-team at Melwood and went on the club’s pre-season tour to the USA. He featured in three friendly games and impressed many observers.
Reports that emerged last week suggested that the Irishman had overtaken Kamil Grabara for the third-choice position in the goalkeeper pecking order, and he’s been rewarded with a new deal for his progression and improvement.
Speaking to the LFC website, the youngster said:
I’m very happy to sign a long deal with the club. I’m really enjoying my football here so I was happy to sign. Once the deal came in and I was happy, it was an easy decision really. I’ve been doing the same things but getting better every day. Training at Melwood, you improve much more. Alisson and Simon and Kamil are here and we train to the highest level every day.
