The Brazilian international has been nursing a back injury in recent times but jetted off to represent his country in the recent international break.
Coutinho has been the subject of much controversy in the last month or two. He handed in an official transfer request at Anfield as he looked to push through a move to Barcelona. However, the Reds stood firm, and declined record-breaking offers from the La Liga outfit.

The tricky playmaker was a prominent feature for Brazil in their games during the two-week break, and was flown back to England on a private jet alongside Roberto Firmino on Wednesday. This was in an attempt to ensure that fatigue was avoided and that the latter, more predominantly, would be fresh and ready to compete against City.
Liverpool will hope to extend their unbeaten start to the season with a win over Pep Guardiola’s men in the early kick-off on Saturday afternoon.
