Crystal Palace make £26m bid for Mamadou Sakho

According to France Football, as cited by Get French Football News, Crystal Palace have made a €28m (£26m) bid for Mamadou Sakho.

Mamadou Sakho has been made available for transfer and is not seen as part of the first-team picture at Liverpool and Palace are eager to re-sign him on a permanent basis after he impressed on loan last season.

Liverpool have tried to stand firm on their £30m asking price for Sakho after rejecting loan offers from the Eagles and Inter Milan earlier in the window.

Sakho himself has turned down a move to West Brom and is keen to return to Crystal Palace but Leicester also remain in contention to sign him.

Now that the Eagles have offered £26m for the French centre-back, Liverpool face an interesting decision – continue to hold out for a larger fee or sell now and try to reinvest before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
